IPC The Hospitalist Company Acquires Five New Practices

North Hollywood, Calif., October 19, 2011IPC The Hospitalist Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: IPCM), a leading national hospitalist physician group practice company, announced today that it has acquired five small practices in several of the Company’s existing markets. The practices include: Lake Hospitalists, Inc. (Leesburg Florida); Babar Sanaullah MD, PLC (Grand Rapids Michigan); Comprehensive Wound Care, Inc. (Phoenix Arizona); Ed Soumi MD, PC (Las Vegas Nevada); and Elliott I. Greenspan, DO, PC (Bloomfield Hills, Michigan).  The five practices have a combined total of approximately 43,000 encounters on an annualized basis.
