Tampa in Brief
The third largest city in Florida, Tampa is located on the state's west coast, with coastlines on both Tampa and Hillsborough bays. The city's economy is diverse, including tourism, agriculture, construction, finance, health care, government, technology, and the port of Tampa, and its quality of life is high.

  1. Education. The graduation rate for Hillsborough County Public Schools is the highest among the state's large school districts; Tampa Bay Technical High School ranks among the nation's best.
  2. Real Estate. Home prices in Tampa are well below the other metropolitan areas of Florida and include everything from historic bungalows and downtown condos to bay-view single-family homes.
  3. Family. Tampa is a great place to raise a family, since it offers a lower cost of living than other major southern cities.

    John Geanes' career spans 30 years in healthcare administration and also in business development for companies that sell to or service healthcare organizations. John served as CEO for multi-unit health systems such as South Miami Health System and Shannon Health System, a fully-integrated delivery system in Texas. Most recently he served as vice-president of business development for RMS Services, a specialty contract management firm which transitions healthcare systems from manual, paper-driven records to electronic, paperless programs.  John received his undergraduate education from Elon College in North Carolina, where he received a Bachelor in Business Administration. His hospital administration education was completed at the Duke Endowment Program in Charlotte, N.C. John also studied the British National Health Service at the King’s Fund College of Hospital Administration in London, for Duke University and the South Carolina Hospital Association.

    Sandy Kyros’ career exceeds 20 years of experience in healthcare business development and management . In the Florida area, Sandy served as the SW Florida Regional Director of Marketing & Business Development for Kindred Healthcare and prior to that, served as a Marketing Director in the HCA- West Florida Division.   Sandy also has extensive experience in developing and implementing business campaigns to introduce new healthcare services. Sandy received her undergraduate degree in Special Education from Northern Michigan University, and completed her MA work in Mass Communication at the University of Texas at El Paso.

    Debi Barnes joined IPC in January 2005, participating in the initial development of the Tampa Bay, Southwest Florida and Ocala markets. She has over 15 years experience in the medical field with earlier careers in respiratory therapy and operations administration for an orthopedic surgical group. Prior to joining IPC, Debi worked as a marketing director for a local area business where she specialized in new product launches and startup of new market operations.

    Elizabeth (Libby) Butler joined IPC in September 2010 as the Director of Business Development/Practice Manager for the Tampa UCH Practice. Libby has over 7 years of business development experience. She was a marketing representative for Rose Radiology serving both the Pinellas and Pasco counties where she was responsible for developing new business along with building and maintaining relationships with area PCP’s and Specialist. Prior to joining Rose Radiology, Libby provided private home health care for the private sector.

    Danette Kuzel joined IPC in August 2009 and is liaison between IPC and contracted health plans. She is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with hospitals, hospitalists and PCPs in the Tampa Region. Prior to joining our company, Ms. Kuzel was the Executive Assistant and Project Manager for 9 years to the Chairman/CEO of The Adult Care Group, Inc. in Largo FL. She was responsible for daily administration and project management for the multiple divisions including Assisted Living, SNFs, Senior Housing communities, Real Estate Development, and a not-for-profit Military Museum. She worked for AMC Theatres Corporate offices in Clearwater FL from 1981 to 2000 as their Advertising Manager as liaison and negotiated advertising costs with all film studios, movie theatres and newspapers.

Vince Pope, the Managing Director of Physician Staffing, worked with IPC's Dallas region for three years as Director of Business Development before joining the physician staffing team. Before joining IPC, he spent seven years as a workforce consultant in the staffing industry, with a primary focus of strengthening and developing client relationships by delivering innovative solutions to their staffing challenges. Vince has gained experience with a wide variety of management styles, sales processes and marketing programs throughout his career; his experience includes developing and implementing sales training programs for branch managers. Vince received his bachelor of science from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He is an active member of ASPR.
