Executive Director Glenn Appelbaum received his Bachelor in Business Administration in 1977 from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. Glenn comes to IPC from Unity Health/Alexian Brothers Hospital in St. Louis, where from 1985 to 1999 he was senior vice president and vice president of managed care/physician services, vice president of finance and planning, and director of planning. As senior vice president, Glenn was responsible for day-to-day operations which included a 10 physician primary care practice, long term care services, a 40 physician IPA, hospital plant operations and security, physician relations/recruitment, mission integration, medical staff coordination, medical records and admitting. Glenn is a CPA and has also earned a Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE) certification from the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. -

She started in physician recruiting more than 17 years ago with Quorum Health in Nashville, serving for eight years at HCA MidAmerica Division and Tennessee hospitals, recruiting all specialties. Gloria also worked for Cookeville Regional Medical Center before joining Cogent, where she recruited hospitalists in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, Iowa and Wisconsin.
Gloria is a founding member and four-year officer of the Tennessee Association of Healthcare Recruiters. She received her CMSR in 1995 and she has a BBA degree from Austin Peay State University. She is an active member of ASPR.
