Cathy Pensak joined IPC September 2000. She has over 19 years of healthcare experience. Cathy's roots are in rural medicine and policy development, both at the state and national level. Prior to joining IPC, Cathy was involved with multiple managed care organizations focusing on network development and strategic planning. She spent 7 years in academic medicine, researching the impact of managed care, the development of successful provider networks and barriers to service delivery in rural and underserved communities. Cathy has coordinated numerous community-based coalition efforts resulting in the expansion of health services for those targeted communities and has influenced state and national policy changes on their behalf. Her graduate work focused on the evaluation of successful implementation strategies of effective integrated delivery systems. Cathy’s undergraduate work is in international business from the Netherlands and management information systems. She holds a Master in Health Administration and Policy.
